Art For Wellbeing
Led by Janene Pike, a fine artist and wheelchair user living with cerebral palsy, this group offers a welcoming, accessible creative space for everyone. As a long-standing UP community member, Janene understands the barriers people may face in other settings and is passionate about making art inclusive.
Sessions run fortnightly on Mondays, 2–3pm, in a block of six over twelve weeks. Themes include abstract art, nature and springtime, Zentangle, and Jars of Hope. No previous experience is needed.
Thanks to the Frenkel Topping Charitable Foundation, everyone taking part will receive a fantastic art set – posted directly to you. Because materials are sent in advance and each session builds on the last, participants must commit to attending all six sessions.
There are only 10 spaces available, so register your interest early. Sign up by 12 January to ensure your materials arrive in time.
Cycle 1 dates: 27 January | 10 February | 24 February | 10 March | 24 March | 7 April
