This October, UP Movement is celebrating World Cerebral Palsy Day like never before – with a week dedicated to empowering our community to thrive.
From 5-10 October 2025, we’re bringing you two groundbreaking events that showcase the strength, potential, and vibrant spirit of people living with cerebral palsy.
Step Into Tomorrow: Thriving with CP
Sunday 5 October, 1:30-4:30pm
Young people with CP (ages 14-19) deserve to see their futures filled with possibility. That’s why we’re partnering with CPotential to host an afternoon of inspiration, creativity, and connection in North London.
Hear from successful adults with CP thriving in their careers – from Paralympic athletes to MasterChef contestants, DJ’s to talent agents. Then choose from hands-on workshops including cooking, dance, mindful movement, and football.
This isn’t just an event – it’s a celebration of what’s possible when young people with CP are given the platform to shine.
CP Support Week
6-10 October 2025
For the first time ever, we’re opening up access to the expert advice our community has been asking for. Book free 15-minute consultations with specialists who understand the realities of adult life with cerebral palsy.
From GP advice and physiotherapy guidance to legal rights, employment support, benefits navigation, and mental health – we’ve assembled over a dozen experts ready to provide the personalised guidance you need.
These aren’t generic advice sessions. These are conversations with professionals who get it – who understand that managing CP as an adult requires specialist insight and tailored support.
Why this matters
Adults with cerebral palsy represent the largest group in the UK living with a lifelong condition – 130,000 people – yet we often feel invisible in a system designed around childhood diagnosis and treatment.
This World CP Day, we’re changing that narrative. We’re celebrating not just survival, but the incredible potential within our community when given the right support and opportunities.
Whether you’re a teenager wondering what your future holds, a young adult navigating employment and relationships, or someone who’s been managing CP for decades – this week is for you.
Join us. Because when we come together, we don’t just live with cerebral palsy – we thrive with it.
Both events are completely free. Step Into Tomorrow requires registration, and CP Support Week consultations can be booked directly through our expert directory.
