Ageing well with a lifelong disability

Survey of research studies highlights how ageing well is currently framed and what interventions to improve ageing well could be made. 

UP co-founders Emma Livingstone and Miriam Creeger are part of a research team mapping how existing literature relates to ‘ageing well’ in people with lifelong disabilities.

They found that the literature highlights the importance of considering multi-level interventions to improve ageing well. Evidence gaps include the lack of research conducted with groups other than those with intellectual disabilities and the need for more research examining ageing well interventions.
